Events at The Space

Paperwork, 25th – 28th May 2023, The Space At Caro, Bruton

This will be the first exhibition outside of Japan of the work of Japanese artist Satoko Inada. The exhibition will show a series of eighteen delicate flower pictures within the intimate setting of The Space at Caro in Bruton, Somerset. Inada’s work has found an impressive international following in a relatively short space of time, which has come as a genuine surprise to this modest painter. It is a stunning and unusual body of work to present within the UK.

The exhibition will also show ceramics in collaboration with IOTA EDIT. Ori are a ceramic studio based Tbilisi, Georgia. IOTA discovered them via Instagram in lockdown and has been commissioning them to create these beautiful illustrated ceramics since, each one has been thoughtfully hand-painted, each piece features unique designs of traditional scenes, with playful interpretations of Georgian dress, and figures on horseback.
